Comprises a number of sites. You choose the one that interests you, whether it be water sports, bird watching, cycling etc. Each site has an eatery and toilets. Plenty of parking at reasonable rates. All are dog friendly. Well worth a visit.
Really good fun paddle boarding. Booked for an hour but as they weren't busy we got over 2 hours at no extra cost! There aren't many restrictions on what you can do on the paddle board like there are at some places which means that you can have some really good fun. The other really good thing is that wetsuits aren't an extra cost but also there is no regulations on wearing them. I have been to the aquapark twice which I have enjoyed as well.
Lovely to watch the sun go down over the water, but nothing at all to do with the CLOSED AT 8pm car park.We decided to have an evening at Rutland Water, but spent an hour trying to park anywhere near the water.The nature reserve car park had big warning signs of a 500 fine if you didn't get a permit, and the centre closes at 5pm...The big car park (with shop, ice cream kiosk, loos etc) closes at 8pm... So if you want to enjoy a summer sunset over the water, you'll have to plan ahead, park near The Wheatsheaf, and walk in.
