If you love wildlife and photography as we do then you must visit. Enjoyable walks with plenty of hides, and if your patient you will be rewarded! Helpful and friendly visitor centre.
A wonderful place at anytime. I love winter and spring here for the water birds and migrants. Come later and there are Ospreys, but always something interesting. There are many well built hides, so bring your sandwiches and have a full day. The visitor centre sells snacks but the place needs a separate caf. There are toilets in the car park as well as the centre. I have seen more birds in a day here than anywhere else in the Midlands.
A wonderful reserve but everytime I go they seem to put up the price of permits I know the cost of running the place must be unbelievable but pensioners have a limited budget. 5 is getting very close to the limit
Absolutely brilliant part of the reserve, a wealth of opportunities and events for kids and adults, from pond dipping and wildlife days to hedge laying and painting courses. Everyone super friendly and happy to help, interesting shop and great viewing gallery for lagoon 1. Highly recommend a visit if you're interested in wildlife at all.
Great place to visit if you are a birder. Good parking available. Friendly helpful staff and a good stock of drinks and other, nature related merchandise. Many hides attached to the centre from which a good variety of birds can be seen, including Ospreys when they are here.
