Fantastic central location, and easily accessible. Wonderfully characterful building, with a relaxing atmosphere. I stayed in a room with a four poster bed - and had a fantastic night sleep. Comfortable bed, the room was nice and warm and offered good facilities.

Booked for Champagne afternoon tea, wasn't impressed at all, was left sitting around waiting for Champagne, asked for water twice never appeared, all the cakes were bought inn. Very shabby & dirty thick dust everywhere, not impressed..
Had afternoon tea which was nice, plenty of tea offered and fresh sandwiches. Cakes ok but scones disappointing as not homemade and I've had nicer from local supermarket. Staff very friendly and there was a nice atmosphere.
Wonderful food & even better service. Couldn't recommend more. Great atmosphere & the beer garden is a hidden gem
