Expensive. 26.50 for 2 course meal (Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potato and parsnips and Vegs) although nice wasn't value for money. Soup as starter was best item. Would not go back again.Nice, clean, service was good.
This place is just lovely. Ive been once with a couple of friends and once with 17 family members - the experience was perfect in both cases. They handle food allergies quietly and seamlessly, meaning everyone can relax. The food is excellent, the staff are lovely and the bill seems to always be less than you were expecting. Cant ask for more!
Very friendly Hotel with an excellent restaurant serving local produce imaginatively prepared and cooked with delicacy and style. Hotel's central location in the quiet High St near to shops and Uppingham School is ideal. Also very near to the prestigious Goldmark art gallery and adjoining ceramic shop both of which are of the highest quality.
Fabulous Christmas lunch! Enjoyed every mouthful and the staff were amazing.
A real treat. Lunch was inspired without being too showy or overplayed. Tasty food served well and reasonably priced. Pickled raisins with a grilled Mackerel fillet-innovative !!
