Went for lunch today. We found a nice quiet place to sit upstairs. Looked through the menu, made our choice. My husband went down to the bar to order our food. There was a party of 8/10 women in front of him all ordering individually. Only two staff on that he could see. So we thought by the time we have ordered, and chef has got through all those orders we will have a long wait. So left and went else where as did the couple sitting near us. Shame
Great pub with plenty of individual seating areas. Good, simple food menu including pizza and range of craft beer/cider. Very cosy but small bar can get busy at peak times. Small beer garden to rear.
This pub is well worth searching for. Hidden away in a corner of the market place, the rooms just keep appearing off the narrow corridors as you explore this old building. There are even rooms upstairs. Friendly service, excellent food and a good choice of proper cider.
Really nice food. Lovely atmosphere & beautiful building. Staff are nice & friendly. Food took more than half an hour to come out, for a pizza & an open sandwich...
Place is always warm and welcoming. Food on the expensive side. However the pizzas are always good and you can get deals on them. Staff always friendly. Also very dog friendly place.
