We are just back from our third stay at In The Stix; if my husband had his way, we would live in one of these domes. Darren and Alex have created a little oasis where you are taken out of reality and placed in a world of space, luxury and fun. The dome is kitted out like a hotel: so comfortable; the kitchen is stocked with everything you need (we took our food for the weekend with us so we didn't have to go back and forth to the shops)(however, if we had, there is a Coop ten minutes up the road); and the hot tub is spectacular. There is a lot of fire stoking required, but then if you are just drinking tea/beer all day, then it's the perfect activity. We have two kids, 7 and 2, and they loved it. Running around field, playing games, trying out the hot tub, learning how to build fires...We cannot recommend this place enough. We are already planning our fourth trip early next year ;-)
My family and I had an amazing time! My 5 year old and 2 year old loved the adventure of living in a Geo Dome and I loved being able to make the fires to cook pizzas in the wood fired oven and to keep the family warm at night. My kids loved getting in to the outdoor hot tub too and were AMAZED to see the stars in the evening.We had a lovely dinner in the local pub on the first night (preluded by a picturesque walk along the brook where we saw rabbits!); and they were more than capable of catering for my daughter's multiple food allergies. Alex and Darren were fantastic hosts and we can't wait to book again!
Loving the fact it's so quiet, the domes are fantastic, plenty of space and seats to chill out in and having a log burning stove in the domes makes for romantic evenings. Bed is so comfortable And having a (log burning) hot tub is really special. Darren and Alex are only a text or call away if u have any problems. ( visit twice a day to just check that everything is OK for you) Ten out of ten from us guys
We stayed for five days with the kids and are already planning our next Bank Holiday trip next year. Alex and Darren have created a haven 2 hours out of London. I am not a bot, there's a real reason everyone has been giving it five stars... ;-)
A group of is stayed across all 4 domes for the whole weekend and it was magical! We had the best time.The finishing, stunning surroundings, customer service and general good vibes made for an absolutely incredible weekend.Thanks again!!!
