What a little gem this site is! Firstly we were greeted by the friendliest lady who is so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Then drove off and pitched up in the bottom field that has the most amazing view of Rutland water but is not the most level. You can choose which field suits your unit best and there are plenty of choices. We walked to the Horse and Jockey for a meal which is just over a mile away, there is one bit that's possibly 50 yards long outside the garden centre that has no path but that's the only bit. You would be there in no time at all if you went on bikes, there are plenty of bike racks at the pub. Cannot think of a single negative for Lyndon, we love it and will definitely be going back, the fact that it's open all year round is a bonus.
Massive campsite. Great views from one of their fields. The spot with the good views can get overcrowded. Very basic facilities for tent campers. No showers. Fairly cheap.
We come at least once a year. Great site lots to around and about. Sometimes you can watch the virgin balloons take off from the next field.
Lovely open views. Good cycling. Water and waste only for caravans and motorhomes but very limited facilities for tent campers. Open all year..
Simple camp site. Great base for exploring Rutland or just getting away for a couple of days. Cheap, no frills, but well looked after.
